I’m pretty sure that anyone who keeps up this music thing for as long as I have stands on the piled corpses of scores of bands and projects that imploded before they really saw the light of day.
More often than not, you pour your time and effort into a venture for just about long enough for it to almost get somewhere, but not quite, and when it goes south you’re left dusting yourself off with nothing to show for the work expended.
Usually all I can comfort/delude myself with is knowledge that each time this happens, I come back a bit more experienced and hopefully a bit wiser so that in the next one might go a bit further.
Occassionally however, I manage to actually achieve something before it all boots off between band members.
This time it was by insisting that we recorded what we had before we went our seperate ways, and by some miracle, we managed to pull it off.
This band does not exist, but I’m glad that for a brief yet glorious few months, I thought it did.
