I feel like my entire musical career has been an endless challenge to do what I can under unfavourable circumstances.
So when the pandemic hit I couldn’t believe how many of the bands I played with went into total hibernation, vowing to get back on it when things blew over at some hypothetical moment in the future.
Therefore it was an honour to be a part of this project.
Nick put together a diverse group of musicians from completely different stylistic backgrounds but the one thing that united us was that our individual and collective response to every obstacle was, “how do we get around it?”.
How we got round it was recording the base elements of an entire album live in 2 days, then adding in embellishments at a distance.
…and yes, we managed to sneak in a few cans as well.
